Marshall set franchise records for the Jets on his way to a Pro Bowl season in 2015, all while doing incredible work for Showtime’s “Inside The NFL” program. His hard work paid off as he earned two Emmy nominations, the first being for outstanding sports personality (studio analyst).

He shared the exciting news on Instagram.

His second Emmy nomination is for a seven-minute mini-documentary titled “A True Hero: The Zaevion Dobson Story.” The segment aired on CBS before the Super Bowl and focused on a Tennessee high school football player who was killed while shielding three girls from gunfire.

Marshall often made headlines for the work he did on Showtime, whether it was offering advice to Johnny Manziel, discussing the relationship between media and players or getting personal one-on-one interviews such as his chat with Adam “Pacman” Jones.

In addition to his on-field work and his job as an analyst, Marshall also co-founded Project 375 — “a nonprofit organization dedicated to eradicating the stigma surrounding mental illness and disorders.”
